⋆˙⟡ Color Meanings ✶⋆.˚
It is great to see everyone again as I am back with another blog!
Today, I will be detailing the coloring we chose for throughout the opener:
Costuming
Since I already explained our choices for costuming in a previous blog (GO check that one as WELL after this), this explanation will not be as in-depth as the one before. Three out of four characters in our project wear black, alluding to the color's importance in the story as it best represents our project's dark and dramatic nature. Both of the antagonists wear black as they have evil intentions even if the audience barely ever sees them with what little glimpses they have of these "mysterious and sinister" figures must have the utmost thought put into them! Meanwhile, Ivy wears black for most of the film to foreshadow the terrible fate she faces as black also has ominous meanings. The purple in Daniella's outfit symbolizes her independent and bold nature as she does NOT care to meet up with online strangers and is NOT afraid to speak up about it to Ivy when she suspects something is wrong.

Filters and Background
For the project, we intend to have some sort of blue or black/dark filter over the darker scenes in the film to make the atmosphere much colder and less friendly. Another filter idea would be to distort or put some type of grain/noise filter over the antagonist scenes as it would cause the audience to become MORE alert as they watch the nefarious actions of our villains! Color in the background switches depending on the scene. In light and innocent scenes where the characters do NOT suspect anything is up, the color is bright and vibrant, but as things take a darker turn that is where the filters and the less saturated colors come into play. For example, in the establishing shot, the colors are extremely vibrant in order to create an unsuspecting atmosphere while in the last FEW scenes, ALL the colors are lifeless and washed out signaling that terrible things are happening.
