Welcome back to another Lavish blog!

Today, I will be talking about the main message of our project:

 Depiction

       The main message of our film opener was to warn about the dangers of online strangers. As a result, we depicted Ivy meeting strangers online and agreeing to meet up with them in real life. To contrast Ivy, we had Daniella who was in the same position as Ivy reject the offer to meet up as she thought they were suspicious and also warned her friend not to meet up with them. However, Ivy disregards the warnings which has negative consequences for her as it leads to her getting kidnapped by them. Meanwhile, Daniella is left to pick up the pieces to find her friend before it is TOO late.

Lesson

      The main lesson we can learn from this is to be wary of strangers and to learn some internet safety protocols. Stranger danger is NO joke as you may never know what their true motives are and what they could do to you. Furthermore, a basic internet safety rule is to never give out personal information that could be used against you as both Kevin and Stuart knew that Ivy was a vulnerable teenage girl looking for friends. This leads them to set a trap for her as they pose as nice people over the screen. This also connects to my next point that you never know who is on the other side of the screen, so it is better to be wary than put yourself in danger!
